Photo Shoot - June 2012

Hey, it's me again! I don't usually do photo shoots this close together, or change the header of my blog this often. I hope to keep this one now, until the end of summer. :)

Anyway the photo shoot I did in May, didn't even compare to these photos. I just love these a lot more, and they kind of create a better look on my blog. Thought I'd share a few, and now I have some of my best friend Beka too!

Guest Post: Self Worth

Show some love for Brooke! She wrote this post, and I loved it! Most of you know I did the series "Through the Eyes of a Teenager"... well this post is really similar to one that I did. Thought I'd share what she wrote.

Right now more than ever, the world screams at us how to be perfect. How to lose 15 pounds, How to get flawless skin, Buy the newest fashionable clothing, Go along with the crowd, Get swept up in fads, You have to have a boyfriend to be cool...on and on it goes. We start believing it. Suddenly we are fat and ugly. It hurts-this I know.

We give into it. Because it's so hard. We deprive our bodies of food and feel like a dumb wannabe that just is not good enough. It rules our lives-the need to be perfect, good enough, and wanted.

It eventually breaks us down. We don't gain;we lose. But it is a secret. Because when you have a problem, you are "not cool". We bottle it up & fake it.

You don't need a boyfriend to be cool. You aren't perfect, but no one was except Jesus. You are gorgeous. You do make mistakes, but you are human. YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN GOLD!!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.-2 Corinthians 4:18. You are just right in His eyes. Jesus loves you beyond comprehension!

What is your favorite dessert? Cheesecake or ice cream cake

What ticks you off? When people complain all about their drama

What do you do when you're upset? I journal, go for a walk, or listen to music

What is your favorite pet? My dog

Which do you prefer to wear, black or white? Either... I like both colors

What's your personality like? I'd have to say outgoing, or adventurous.

What is perfection? Being outside alone, in the sun, with the wind going through my hair

What is your guilty pleasure? I really like to dance, but with my coordination - I never do. :)

Sunday Snapshot {Rainbow Daises}

This week my dad worked really hard to get some projects finished around the house/yard. My mom has been wanting a garden bed for a while, so he made one for her. They also went to get some flowers. My mom's favorite flowers are Gerbera Daises. She got a few different colors of them, and I just had to take some pictures. They are all really pretty, but our favorites are the white and pink ones.
