Posse Night In

I first told you about my great group of friends, last August, when we went to Valleyfair. We recently hung out at one of the guy's house to celebrate his 17th birthday. It was tons of fun!

Bonfire. Friends. Laughing. TV. Inside jokes. Games. Food.

Every single one of us made it - which is a miracle considering there is 14 of us. We always have a blast and it's fun for everyone because we don't have to feel pressured or awkward around each other. Playing ping pong or watching whatever sport is on TV that night is just fine. Of course telling jokes is necessary for us - otherwise it would be too boring. :) I don't know what I would do without these people.

Unfortunately, we didn't take a group picture but here are the ones that were taken that night.

Her Favorite thing to Do!

My sister Erin LOOOVVEESSS SOCCER! I don't know what she would do without it.
She's been playing since she was 7 years old...that's 8 years!

She's probably the fastest runner in the history of teenage girls, and can kick that ball far!

It's so much fun to watch her team play. They work together, communicate, and of course use the
occasional tricks. :)

Last week, Erin's best friend & I were able to go watch her play. Unfortunately they lost, but it an awesome game to watch. And then last weekend, their team made it to the championship and got 2nd place!

Keep your game strong sister!

New Orleans Day 3

Sunday night was so much fun! Since we all had balconies off our hotel rooms, we would all go hang out and talk to each other on them. We would meet people, and holler to them a couple floors down and ask where they were from. A bunch of fun! :) That night we were up until about 1 in the morning, and had to get some sleep.

Monday morning came way too quick, and Beka woke me up at about 6:00 am. So I quietly got out of the bed that 3 of us shared, and snuck out onto our balcony. It was just the right temperature, no one else was up yet, and the early morning view was gorgeous!
The balconies, and the morning view

On Monday, we went to the morning gathering and then started our "huddles". Every youth group at the conference did a huddle after each gathering. In our huddles we would answer questions from the sermon, and just talk about what stuck out to us the most.

Frances Chan spoke that morning, and that was his little boy. Such a good example and sermon!!

The Girls
The Guys

Then later that day after lunch, a group of us went to play dodge ball at the Hilton hotel. Just about a 12 minute walk from our hotel. Since we only had 9 people from our youth group, we teamed up with 6 girls from a youth group in Chicago to help us. It was so much fun!

Our group that went
The group, with the girls we met. I thought it was a pretty cool shot with the ball in the center. :)
Some random pictures... Dodge ball was definitely a high light from the trip.

We ended winning 3rd place out of the whole tournament! Thanks to the girls that helped us, and they were super nice too!

We ended the day by going to the evening gathering and worshiping our amazing God! This trip was really getting exciting!

End of the Year Party

As mentioned in my last post, our youth group had an end of the year party. We had inflatables, food, and A TON OF FUN! :)

Beka & I made over a hundred cupcakes for the party, and a lot of people showed up. It's basically a Summer kick-off party!

It was a really fun night, we finished up our series that we've been talking about in youth group, and there was plenty of laughs! :)

A Relaxing/Wedding/Super Bowl Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun! As most of you know, and especially for you football fans it was Super Bowl weekend! :)

Let me start from the beginning...

Friday
We had school on Friday, and a 5 day week wore. me. out. I was happy for the long week to be over (we usually only have 4 day weeks at our school) and to be able to relax. I didn't touch my homework, and was probably on the computer, TV, or my iPod for the rest of the night. I was also happy that I could stay up late, and not have to wake up early the next morning.

Saturday
Beka's cousin, Sarah got married on Saturday! I came because I was going to be watching some little girls, but they ended up not needing me. So it was a blast hanging out with Beka the rest of the night. The ceremony was beautiful, and you could tell that the groom was very nervous. At the end of the ceremony, Sarah danced down the aisle and gave a little shout when she was at the end! The reception was next, and that was probably the most fun. We ate, had a lot of kitty cocktails, and danced a ton!! SO MUCH FUN! Congrats to Blake and Sarah!

Sunday
Since we didn't get to bed until about 2:30 am after the wedding, Beka and I were extremely tired in the morning. From all the dancing, food, and fun we did not want to get up the next morning for church. We did eventually get up, got ready on time (amazing!), and helped out in the church nursery where we were needed. After the second service, Erin, Beka, and I stayed with a few other youth and adults to help for our Valentine's Dinner. We started making raviolles for the main dish, and others started making desserts. We did that for about 4 hours, and then came back for the Super Bowl Party. IT WAS A BLAST! Watched some of the game, ate some more food, played games, laughed a lot, and danced. The New York Giants took home the victory this year!

Some of it, turned into a dance party!

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

NO Homework

For the first time since the first day of school, I don't have homework!

I was so excited and relieved because yesterday I had homework in every subject except for two.

I got to finish math in a different class since my friend and I are a bit ahead in that class anyway. We even got cupcakes in that class for two birthday celebrations.

It was a great day. The weather is cold, but amazing.

You know why I love the weather right now? Give up?

Because when it starts to get a little bit colder, it means... its...

HOMECOMING WEEKEND!

This week is Spirit week, and it was the 3rd day to dress up. I might be going to the pep fest at our school on Thursday afternoon, and then I'm probably going to the Homecoming game in my hometown.

What are you guys excited for this week?
