Fun with Polyvore

I have been enjoying polyvore a lot lately! It's been really fun to look at all different styles of clothes, and mix and match different accessories. You can try it out right here!

Doing a Vote - Pinterest

Many of you have probably heard of Pinterest. It's basically an online pinboard. You take recipes, hair, nails, outfits, quotes, and a lot of other things and you post it to your boards.

Others can then "repin" your things (share them), they can follow you, and other things. So my friend Beka started Pinterest a couple months ago, and got really obsessed. The down side to it was, that once she got into it more - She would get about 1000 emails a day. Just for reminders and notifications.

So every since then, I've held back from creating an account on Pinterest. I've always thought about it, and some day I will probably eventually get one. So I'm doing a vote.

If you think I should make one, then just comment below with why you like it or have heard about it. If you don't think I should get one, then also comment below explaining why. I just want to make sure that I know as much about it as possible. I know I could regret it or get completely obsessed, but I'm sure it would be worth it.

Plus I would share all those great ideas on here often too!

I follow a lot of blogs, and some of the blogs I follow - The writers have pinterest accounts. So one day I was reading a post that a mom wrote about pinterest and shared a few pictures of her favorite ideas. This was one...

Isn't it cool? I thought it was amazing, and wanted to try it really bad!

So I did... :)
I think it turned out pretty good... After 3 attempts it was successful. (Thanks mom!)

Sunrise

In the morning when we leave for school in the winter/spring time - The sun is still rising. Usually it's pretty quiet in the car as our dad brings us. So I am always sleepily looking out the window or listening to music. I always notice the sunrise or the clouds or the other cars passing us.

Pulling out of the driveway in our neighborhood...

Passing through the rows of houses...

And getting to that road, where you could see it in all it's glory.

Our God is incredible! I love how I always notice the simple things that he creates! Yet so intricate...

You'll Hear From Me Soon

Hey everyone!

I've been on a "blogging break" for a total of 12 days. I will admit that it was very nice not to have to worry about posting. But... I did miss posting at the same time, and hearing from all of you!

Today is the last day of the week for me, because tomorrow and Friday we have conferences. I'm so happy to have a little break from school. Although we are being bombarded with final projects, it will be all worth it. Can't wait for summer!

So right now, I got motivated to start blogging again! So I have a lot of posts waiting to be written and to add pictures to.

That's right...11 posts in drafts!. Can't wait to write all about crazy life again.

You'll hear from me soon!

Random | Taking a Break

I know I've been quiet and thought that I'd stop by quickly.

A couple day ago I wrote another post for my series "Going Back in Black & White".

Other than that, I haven't posted much in the last 2 weeks.

So I'll just give you a quick random post, and then it's time for me to take a break from the blogging world.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

School has been keeping me especially busy - With writing & math final projects, archery gym classes, GRAD testing, and a whole secondary softball game coming up. I still need to order a yearbook and finish some other things up this weekend. Whew! Can't wait until this next week is over...

My family is doing great! Easter was very good, and we loved celebrating the resurrection of our KING! Although I will update you with another family picture soon, this one didn't work out too well. The sun was not being our friend that day. :)

Notice the squinty eyes...

Youth group is going good, and most of us were able to volunteer at the Easter breakfast this past weekend. We're also busy fundraising for upcoming events and conferences this summer. Can't wait to do a post on that soon.

Well there you have a post about my life in a nutshell. I might be back in a week, and I might be back in a month. This is the first blogging break that I've actually ever taken, so we'll see how it goes.

Talk to you all soon!

Going Back in Black & White

Going Back in Black and White

Today I'm doing my sister Tareh Jo. She was born in the beautiful country of Ethiopia, and we brought her home in July 2010.

It's been a wild ride since bringing her home, but worth every minute. Some days are worse than others, and other days they're even worse.

Coming from a scary, crazy, and unforgettable background is not easy. Some things will never be erased from her memory, and we can't help that. We don't want to her to forget where she came from, or who she is. We're doing our best to teach her how to be in a family.

She has been home for almost 21 months, and she's already learned so much. She's grown over 6 inches, lost about 5 teeth, knows her ABC's and most numbers, and the list goes on.

We can't imagine our lives with out her, and we love her so much! God surprises us everyday with the adventures He takes us on!

Going Back in Black & White

Going Back in Black & White

This week I am doing my best friend Beka!

Those who stop by here often or have been following for a while, know that I mention Beka a lot!! We've known each other for a really long time, went to church together for a while, and then we started hanging out again in 2010 after they started coming to the church we moved to.

She's really pretty, smart (whether she thinks so or not), not afraid to speak her mind, and loves little kids.

She's a Christian, and lets God guide her everyday. She loves going to youth group & church and we have so much fun when we're there. We're at church a lot, and volunteer to do a lot of things there. This summer, her, my sister Erin, and I will be going to a youth conference for a week! We're so excited!

I've made so many memories with her, we've had the craziest nights, the weirdest moments, said the most awkward things, had the dumbest arguments, and we'll always be best friends!
