(post-Thanksgiving)

I am thankful that I had a great Thanksgiving!

My wonderful family.

The great food prepared by my grandma.

The good and funny conversations.

Writing down Christmas lists and exchanging names.

Seeing a new little puppy my cousins just got.

Hearing what everyone else was thankful for.

It's funny that after doing these last 7 posts, that I realize I'm thankful for things you don't normally think about. I wanted to do something different than just a standard Thanksgiving post. I LOVED reading all of your Thanksgiving posts.

I am thankful for a house to live in.

For a warm bed with pillows and blankets.

A dresser and closet stuffed with clothes.

Picture frames for all my memories.

For a hot shower everyday.

For a kitchen full of food.

Two vehicles that can easily get us places.

A beautiful neighborhood to explore.

I am thankful for people who accept me for me.

My best friends. My family. And all of you.

You read about my crazy life and see pictures that I don't show most people.

Insta-Week / Day 3

I'm thankful for nights when I can just sit and blog or watch a movie.

When my dad brings my mom and I Chinese food.

My parents are so awesome. They make sure I have everything I need + more.

Especially when my dad makes me malts. They are the best!

For those nights when I can relax and not worry about anything.

Insta-Week / Day 2

It's National Adoption Day! I am so thankful for my little sister.

No matter how much she can drive me crazy - I still love her.

Our world has been turned upside down for this little girl, as her broken heart continues to heal.

I am also thankful for Caribou Coffee and all the love they spread around.

To help families like us... who can't always raise all the money they need for adoption.

God is good. And I am blessed.

Insta-Week / Day 1

I'm starting Insta-Week. I've noticed about 3 different blogs I follow are doing "thankful days". Which means they post something they are thankful for, everyday for the month of November. I'm doing it for a week. Through Instagram. F,S,Su,M,T,W,Th

The opportunity to be able to go out with my mom and sister.

 To have people as special and crazy as them in my life.

To teach me patience. And love.

We were able to hang out at Caribou for a couple hours today. I loved it!!

Laughs that were needed. Treats that I love.

Wordless Wednesday - Haircut

The Positives

This is a very late post.

But I thought I'd share some of the happy things that happened  for my birthday.

The weekend before, I got to get together with my 2 favorite cousins, grandparents, and my sister.

It was so fun and very much needed time spent with family that are close in age, and with grandparents that like to hear funny stories and ask questions about life. :)

On my birthday, as you know I was sick, but my sister did go to school and had a few things for me.

One of my friends got me chocolates and a card. Another friend bought me flowers and a coffee.

My big sister (not really - but she seems like it) brought me a gift card and a letter.

My best friend got me a Zac Efron card, a lanyard (for my keys when I get my license), and a scarf.

The weekend after, I went shopping with my sister, my best friend, and my mom. I scored on some awesome boots and a new purse!

So it really was a fantastic birthday! I am blessed.

Sweet?? ...16

Hey everyone... I turned 16 yesterday.

Oh my goodness gracious. I am getting old. :)

You know everyone looks forward to their sweet 16 right?

Well I definitely was! Going to school to celebrate with friends, and dress up.

The thing is...this...

Yep. I got sick. Like sleep on the couch, your whole body aches, I just want to be healthy again sick.

On my birthday. Just fantastic.

So this was pretty much my "sweet" 16.

(p.s. thanks mom for putting this on facebook. haha at least I was drooling and you could barely see my sick & make-up less face. :) )

There were a few things that made my day brighter and happier, but those will come tomorrow when I'm not so lazy. It's my 3rd day home from school this week. :( I love school...most of the time. Just not the homework and the wake up early part of it.

I could use some prayers! Thank you - now it's off to bed again.

Thursday Night Nails

I redid my nails tonight... I had the sea foam color on all week, and it was starting to chip so I decided to change it up. I saw this on Pinterest, and it is literally the coolest nail design I have ever seen, especially cause it's blue!

I thought I couldn't do it, but then I realized I had everything to make it. Here's my results....

They're not perfect, but they turned out much better than I expected! That's my fun tonight!
