I love anything & everything that is blue.

I love scarves and sunglasses.

My favorite food is pizza.

I spend too much time on social media/the internet.

I love taking pictures & photography.

I have a huge heart for Africa, adoption, and the orphans of this world.

I have a big family and want a big family when I grow up.

I volunteer and serve at every possibility I get.

I love going to school - Mostly to see my friends. But I hate homework.

I am easily entertained by ridiculous jokes.

I think dishes are the worst chore ever.

I find politics extremely boring.

I have never been on an airplane.

I'm a perfectionist.

I love having my nails done.

I'm not a very good dancer.

I like to draw - it helps me concentrate.

I love winter but hate driving during it.

I like to work out.

My favorite job in the world is being a big sister and teaching kids.

I love listening to music.

Sometimes I wish I had real glasses.

Fall is my favorite season of the year.

My favorite thing to do is hang out with my best friends.

I try my hardest to be a prayer warrior for anyone I possibly can be.

I love the friends and family in my life who I can turn to for anything.

I like to read.

I have an obsession with shoes.

I am extremely clumsy.

I have my drivers license

I like to put mustard on my mac & cheese sometimes.

I like to get my beauty sleep.

And even though I'm unique from anyone else in this world, I must remember... I'm not perfect. :)

New Orleans!

Hey all my faithful readers! Just wanted to say that I've missed hearing from you. My blog has been a little quiet these days. I just couldn't think of anything to write. Well no worries, I'm here today to give you an update about my youth group & an upcoming trip all in one. :)

So every 2 years there is this conference called "Nationals". It's for youth all over the United States to gather as a whole. There are sermons, classes, service projects, worship, sports to play, sites to visit, you meet new friends, and most important we come together as the body of Christ to learn more about Him. And this year... it's in NEW ORLEANS!

We've been planning this trip ever since January, and we're all kind of excited. We were all getting pumped about last month... There were countdowns, meetings, and fundraisers in order for everyone to make the trip.

You see... just about 3 1/2 weeks ago... we lost our youth pastor. :( We got letters that he had left, and now he won't be leading our group on this awesome trip. We had our final meeting last night about all the details, and now it's reality.

We're leaving in 4 days! 

It's for a whole week! We leave on June 30th & return on July 7th! We are taking a charter bus down there, with our group of 50 people, and are traveling for about 24-28 hours. Oh boy, please lift us up in a few prayers when you think about it. That's a long time in a bus. But don't worry we're stopping every 4 hours.

It's going to be a fun and interesting trip. We're staying in a hotel and on the way home we get to go to SIX FLAGS (a huge amusement park) allllll day. Yay!

Please pray that we grow together as a youth group, come together before God, and grow to know more about Him. This trip is going to open our eyes, and we all need prayer and guidance as we prepare.

The title for this year's Challenge conference is Everything Is New! Sounds like a perfect title for us right now.

Most of you have probably realized that I mention my best friend Beka alot! :)

I haven't quite known her for 2 years, but she's definitely my best friend! haha we have our moments but that's just a reminder that we are best friends. We laugh so hard we cry or cry so hard we laugh.

One of our favorite sayings is:
"God made us best friends, because He knew our moms wouldn't be able to handle us as sisters."

We are basically sisters, and do almost everything together!

So once I got a blog, Beka started reading it so she could read about my crazy life! Then, one day she was over at my house and said "You should help me start a blog". So I did!

She's been blogging for a while now, and posts when she can. Her life is very busy, and takes many twists and turns. She does funny posts that have lots of quotes and they literally make you laugh out loud.

She loves ALL colors, so that's how part of her blog name came to be. ;-)

Hey, it's me again! I don't usually do photo shoots this close together, or change the header of my blog this often. I hope to keep this one now, until the end of summer. :)

Anyway the photo shoot I did in May, didn't even compare to these photos. I just love these a lot more, and they kind of create a better look on my blog. Thought I'd share a few, and now I have some of my best friend Beka too!

Guest Post: Self Worth

Show some love for Brooke! She wrote this post, and I loved it! Most of you know I did the series "Through the Eyes of a Teenager"... well this post is really similar to one that I did. Thought I'd share what she wrote.

Right now more than ever, the world screams at us how to be perfect. How to lose 15 pounds, How to get flawless skin, Buy the newest fashionable clothing, Go along with the crowd, Get swept up in fads, You have to have a boyfriend to be cool...on and on it goes. We start believing it. Suddenly we are fat and ugly. It hurts-this I know.

We give into it. Because it's so hard. We deprive our bodies of food and feel like a dumb wannabe that just is not good enough. It rules our lives-the need to be perfect, good enough, and wanted.

It eventually breaks us down. We don't gain;we lose. But it is a secret. Because when you have a problem, you are "not cool". We bottle it up & fake it.

You don't need a boyfriend to be cool. You aren't perfect, but no one was except Jesus. You are gorgeous. You do make mistakes, but you are human. YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN GOLD!!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.-2 Corinthians 4:18. You are just right in His eyes. Jesus loves you beyond comprehension!

Sunday Snapshot {Rainbow Daises}

This week my dad worked really hard to get some projects finished around the house/yard. My mom has been wanting a garden bed for a while, so he made one for her. They also went to get some flowers. My mom's favorite flowers are Gerbera Daises. She got a few different colors of them, and I just had to take some pictures. They are all really pretty, but our favorites are the white and pink ones.
